Little Blessings
Little Blessings Preschool is a ministry of Alleluia! Lutheran Church in Naperville, Illinois and has been housed at Alleluia! since September of 1996 when we opened our doors with two furnished classrooms and 64 children. The dynamic growth of Little Blessings has spread to 9 furnished classrooms, allowing us to serve over 500 children distributed among 32 preschool classes and 5 sessions of PDO (Parents’ Day Out). The Alleluia! facility was designed as a beautifully functional preschool facility which communicates the warmth of home. The carpeted classrooms are furnished with equipment that allows for converting room space into Christian Education classrooms for Alleluia! on weekends. The fenced-in playground has state of the art recreation equipment that is enjoyed by the children of Alleluia! as well as Little Blessings and is accessible to the church for summer children’s programs when the preschool is not operating. The large carpeted multi-purpose room serves as an indoor playground during winter weekdays when the preschool is limited to indoor activities. The children at Little Blessings take part in a living Christian environment where they are participating in service to others; learning how to get along with all kinds of children; discovering the special qualities in themselves as well as their classmates; knowing Jesus and experiencing God as a part of their everyday lives; and mastering the skills that will help them succeed in kindergarten. It is a nurturing preschool that accepts children exactly where they are in their development and life experience; thus promoting their social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth so that harmony can be experienced in living with each other and the rest of God’s creation. As we have grown, we have stressed that our ministry is not only to provide a high quality program for children, but also to minister to families in the needs they encounter on their parenting journey.
