Our goal is to provide a comprehensive volleyball program that not only develops the skills of the players but also works with parents to help form a foundation that will develop character and integrity for life. We know that a focused, yet Christian environment is helpful to both athletic development and experiencing life at its fullest.
The 8-week sessions will include short talks designed to challenge players at their levels and to help them be better people as they develop into young adults. We will present a different character quality during each class. Players will receive a game card with a summary of each week’s topic. We hope players will keep all the cards to help them remember the character qualities they have learned.
Terri Boumans is our volleyball coordinator. Terri grew up in Downers Grove and had a very successful high school and college career, including an alternate spot on the US Olympics Sydney team! She is a dedicated mom with four kids and is very excited to work with our youth in a Christian environment!
Director’s Note: This program is designed to help the beginner player as well as the player that may need a little more skill development to give them the confidence to participate in school sports. WE WILL EMPHASIZE FUN!
We may need to make some time and date changes based on the number of kids that sign up for each class. We appreciate your understanding!
